We are proud to announce that after 25+ years of exclusively supporting and repairing Macintosh computers and other Apple hardware & accessories, Lapin is now offering non-warranty PC desktop and laptop repair, custom/turnkey PC-building, and PC-centric consulting/support services.
Expanding into Windows PC repair & support has been under consideration at Lapin for quite some time. Recently, several factors aligned that made our decision to launch these new services both appropriate and timely.
For our hybrid (Mac & PC) customers, we hope this is a welcome addition as we strive to become your one-stop-shop for IT support and computer hardware repair.
For PC-only users, we aim to bring the respected reputation, long-term technical talent, solid repair foundation, strong vendor relationships, and exceptional customer service our Mac users have known since 1995 to the consumer PC world.
At a time when independent Mac and PC repair options are becoming increasingly rare as a result of manufacturer, supply chain, and other economic pressures, our goal is to provide a respected and friendly local option to serve as many customers as possible with personal attention and expanded service & support offerings.
Lapin is still the leading Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP) in the Chicagoland area, offering AppleCare warranty and non-warranty repair, support, and onsite consulting services for all types of Macintosh computers.
While we are not offering manufacturer warranty services for any non-Apple PC brands (most already offer direct-to-user onsite repair services), we do offer the following for brands such as Dell, Alienware, HP, Lenovo, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, MSI, and many others:
- Diagnostics, troubleshooting, and non-warranty hardware repair/replacement
- Malware & virus scanning, removal, and prevention
- Data recovery, transfer, and migration
- PC-replacement facilitation and custom system building
- Remote & onsite consulting and troubleshooting services for supported software and hardware
- Wireless network design, support, and troubleshooting in PC, Mac, or hybrid environments
